Domain forwarding is a technique for making a web page available under many domain names. There are serveral reasons to use domain forwarding:

Visitors might search for the same information under slightly different domain names, like goooogle.com and googel.com. You can registere these domains and redirect them to the correct location, google.com.
Moving A Site To A New Domain
If you were to change your domain name, you could forward all of the traffic going to the old domain to your new domain. Even links with your old domain name in them will forward to your new one.
