How do I transfer a Yahoo! domain to Crucial?
When you register a domain with Yahoo! your domain is locked automatically. To unlock your Yahoo! domain you'll need to go to your "Domain Control Panel" and click on the "Edit Domain Locking" link. Once you access this page, you'll see your domain lock status. Click on the "Unlock Domain" button to change the lock status.
You can also unlock your domain from the "Advanced DNS" page. Visit your "Domain Control Panel" and click the "Manage Advanced DNS Settings" link. If your domain is locked, you will find an "Unlock Domain" button near the bottom of the page, in the "Name Servers" section. Click this button to unlock your domain.
You should note that only the owner of the domain can unlock the domain. Please be aware that pending domains cannot be modified; you can change the lock status on active domains only.
As of October 28, 2006, transfers of .com and .net domains require an EEP—a transfer authorization key—in order to migrate from one domain registrar to another.
