Can affiliates refer themselves?
No. You cannot earn a commission for referring yourself. Please see the Terms of Service for more detailed information.
Can non-US residents sign up?
Absolutely!
Do I get commission for domain name purchases?
No. Commissions are only made on our shared hosting plans.
Do I have to have a website or qualify to be an affiliate?
You don't need a website to become an affiliate, nor do you need to qualify.
Do I have to pay taxes on my earnings?
By law, if commission payments to an affiliate exceed $600.00 USD in a calendar year, and the affiliate is a resident of the United States, the affiliate will be required to provide Crucial with a signed W-9 Form for tax reporting purposes before Crucial can make additional commission payments durin.
Do you provide the links and banners?
Yes, we provide a wide selection of links and banners in several colors, designs, and sizes, as well as text for you to use throughout your site. You will find the latest banners and promotions inside the affiliate control panel.
How are sales tracked?
Sales are tracked using either cookies, or the promotional code used. A cookie is a tiny text file that tracks which affiliate sent the customer and what type of link they used. It does not record email addresses or any other personal information.
How are visitors with cookies disabled tracked?
Over 99% of all internet users have cookies enabled in their browsers. Cookie-based technology is a reality that will remain part of consumer tracking for quite some time.
How can I track the success of my affiliate program?
Account activity, such as the number of conversions, clicks, commissions, and account status, can be viewed in real-time through the affiliate program summary and in-depth stats of your account. Simply login to your affiliate control panel to view this information.
How do I get paid?
You can choose to receive your payment through a check in the mail, or through PayPal. We recommend PayPal because it's quicker and utilizes direct deposit for confirmed members.
How does an affiliate program work?
Affiliate programs are one of the most effective and low-maintenance ways to make money on the internet. Most likely, you already have links to other websites on your website.
How much does it cost to become a Crucial affiliate?
Absolutely nothing. There is no cost to become a Crucial affiliate. You don't even need to host with us!
When will I be paid?
Commissions are paid on the first of each month for the sales from the previous month on all verified and approved sales.
Where do I get support for the affiliate program?
Please send any questions or concerns that you may have to our Affiliate department. An affiliate manager will answer your questions as soon as possible!
Which hosting plan sells the most?
Our highest selling plans are the Silver and Gold plans.
Who handles my payment?
All affiliate sales are handled by us. We run a great affiliate management system, and always pay on time.
