Can I buy extra IPs?
Yes. Contact support and provide justification for the extra IPs, which are $5/month.
Can I buy extra storage or bandwidth?
At this time, we have no plans to offer additional storage. However, if you go over your allocated bandwidth, pricing is $2/GB and must be bought in 10 GB blocks.
Do I get root access?
Because we provide full management, root access is not available. If you need something done that requires root access, contact support for assistance.
How is this different than a dedicated server?
A Split-Dedicated server uses virtualization technology to provide a similar hosting experience to a physical dedicated server. Because you share the cost of the entire server with additional clients, your Split-Dedicated container easily outperforms a similarly priced dedicated server.
Sharing the costs also means we can offer you features that would price a physical dedicated server 2-3 times more than what you pay for a Split-Dedicated container.

Don't forget to add full management, since most servers are unmanaged, and the cost of having the server software installed, hardened for security, and tuned for performance.
How is this different than shared hosting?
Split-Dedicated is different from shared hosting in serveral ways. In a shared hosting environment, your website is competing for resources with hundreds—and in some cases thousands—of other clients' websites. Not only do you share the same limited pool of server resources, but server software as well, such as HTTP, MySQL, and PHP.
With Split-Dedicated, you have your own guaranteed amount of resources that no one else on the server can use. This model of hosting ensures you never have to worry about other clients impacting the performance of your site.
Shared hosting also has limited capabilities for customizing and tuning existing server software and installing new applications. With Split-Dedicated, your hosting environment can be fine tuned to meet the specific demands of your web applications.
How many domains can I host?
Since you do not share your container, there is no limit to how man domains you can host.
Is all of the disk space available for use?
No. Unlike shared hosting, where you get what you pay for, containers are different. The disk space you receive is for the entire container, which includes the space needed for the OS, MySQL, PHP, etc.
