Absolutely!
Do I get commission for domain name purchases?
No. Commissions are only made on our shared hosting plans.
Do I have to have a website or qualify to be an affiliate?
You don't need a website to become an affiliate, nor do you need to qualify.
Do I have to pay taxes on my earnings?
By law, if commission payments to an affiliate exceed $600.00 USD in a calendar year, and the affiliate is a resident of the United States, the affiliate will be required to provide Crucial with a signed W-9 Form for tax reporting purposes before Crucial can make additional commission payments during the same calendar year.
Do you provide the links and banners?
Yes, we provide a wide selection of links and banners in several colors, designs, and sizes, as well as text for you to use throughout your site. You will find the latest banners and promotions inside the affiliate control panel.
How are sales tracked?
Sales are tracked using either cookies, or the promotional code used. A cookie is a tiny text file that tracks which affiliate sent the customer and what type of link they used. It does not record email addresses or any other personal information.
How are visitors with cookies disabled tracked?
Over 99% of all internet users have cookies enabled in their browsers. Cookie-based technology is a reality that will remain part of consumer tracking for quite some time. In the highly unlikely situation that a customer has cookies disabled, the customer is out of the range of publisher tracking and sales that occur cannot be tracked. You can also create your own coupons and sales can be tracked that way.
How can I track the success of my affiliate program?
Account activity, such as the number of conversions, clicks, commissions, and account status, can be viewed in real-time through the affiliate program summary and in-depth stats of your account. Simply login to your affiliate control panel to view this information. You can also use our desktop application for live statistics and real-time commission alerts!
How do I get paid?
You can choose to receive your payment through a check in the mail, or through PayPal. We recommend PayPal because it's quicker and utilizes direct deposit for confirmed members.
How does an affiliate program work?
Affiliate programs are one of the most effective and low-maintenance ways to make money on the internet. Most likely, you already have links to other websites on your website. When you become a Crucial affiliate, you will be supplied with a range of banners and text links that you can place within your site. When a user clicks on one of your links, their activity will be tracked by our affiliate software. You will earn a commission for every visitor you bring and every purchase made.
How much does it cost to become a Crucial affiliate?
Absolutely nothing. There is no cost to become a Crucial affiliate. You don't even need to host with us!
When will I be paid?
Commissions are paid on the first of each month for the sales from the previous month on all verified and approved sales. For example, if you refer a new customer in February, then you will receive the commission on, or before, April 1st, assuming the customer does not take advantage of our money back guarantee.
