Anybody here use Simple Configurable Products? It turns out our slow down was a direct cause of this. Its a great extension, we just had to configure it differently. It changed our page loads of configurable products from 10-15 seconds back to the 2 second loads it should be.

Well, since Magento is something that depends mainly on the MySQL database server, I think it is very much obvious that concentrating on configuring one’s MySQL database server could very well be the answer. However, the availability of RAM is a major concern. So is the case with the amount of money required! I think then only can the performance of Magento be optimized and since this being a database application, it would need vast proportion of read operations as well as database access!
